Your responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the IT strategy, align with business goals, and identify opportunities for innovation
- Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, cloud services at our offices and on tugs
- Managing the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications to meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency
- Establishing and enforcing IT governance policies, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations
- Overseeing data governance, data quality, and data security, and enhance the use of data analytics for informed decision-making
- Protect the IT infrastructure from cyber-attacks and assess on cyber risks on a regular basis
- Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors and negotiate services and contracts
- Provide leadership and development opportunities for the IT team, fostering their growth and ensuring their ability to meet organizational objectives
What we are looking for:
- Master’s degree in computer science or comparable with multiple years of work experience in similar position
- Profound understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to the organization. This includes knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, data management, cyber security, and cloud computing
- Solid understanding of the company’s industry and in-depth knowledge of the key business and administrative processes
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and motivational skills
- Analytical and strategic thinking
- Open to embrace new technologies and approaches to drive innovation and digital transformation with proven project- and change management skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Assertive and result oriented personality
- German and English fluently (oral/written)
