To strengthen our Sales Department in Rotterdam, we are looking for a

Your responsibilities:

• Proactively develop, maintain, and manage a strong connection with existing and potential customers such as shipping agencies, ship owners, charterers, traders, brokers, offshore companies and representative agents both locally and abroad.
• Actively markets and sells FTG services to grow our customer base through regular visits locally and abroad.
• Manage negotiations and secure new contracts, contract extensions and spot enquiries.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities, analyse, and present business proposals.
• Attendance of receptions, exhibitions, and trade shows within the marine shipping community.
• Liaise with operations and other departments and safeguard a smooth execution of the contracts.
• Monitor continuous service quality and customer satisfaction, promote constant improvement, and supervise and coordinate the internal processes.
• Stays fully updated on market developments and competitors’ activities.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor‘s degree in shipping or similar.
• Over 5 years of experience in an operational or sales role within the towage industry, a shipping agency, chartering or any other maritime service related company.
• Solid understanding of the company’s industry.
• Great listening, effective communication and collaboration skills, team oriented.
• Analytical driven and creative thinking.
• Entrepreneurship, initiative oriented and self-motivated.
• Pleasure in traveling from time to time.
• Proficiency with MS Office and use of any CRM software.
• Fluent Dutch and English (oral/written).
